All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, which is one of the world's best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety and guarantees total absence of harmful substances in our products. Our supplier for textile is certified by Control Union, Netherlands with Global Recycled Standands. The GRS includes a higher (50%) minimum recycled content percentage and additional social and environmental requirements related to processing and chemical use.

Gypsy Amazon only works with suppliers that are commitment to the health of their employees, local communities and the global ecosystem through structured actions that may be summed up in the following pillars of sustainable practices:

GREEN HOUSE GAS EMISSIONS:

Greenhouse gas effects are aggravated by the burning of fossil fuels to generate heat.

Since 1985, our supplier has been investing in reducing consumption of heat in the processes and recovered thermal energy, thus reducing the burning of natural gas and therefore the emission of CO2.

-50% CO2 EMISSIONS

-90 NOX EMISSIONS

-100% SO2 EMISSIONS

ELECTRICITY:

- Reducing process time

- Eliminating waste

- Maximizing use per kw/h/kilo

- Using frequency inverter technology

THERMAL ENERGY:

- Using natural gas as the energy matrix.

- Heat recovery systems.

- Reducing process times.

- Thermal insulation.

- Reducing waste

- 50% in fuel burn, proportionally reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

WATER:

The water used in our industrial process is captured with high pollution levels, and it undergoes rigorous purification treatments.

After treated and purified, it is used in textile processing (steam generation, preparation, dyeing, finishing, and other complementary uses).

The water cycle is finished with the treatment of the effluent, and the water is returned to the collection system according to the parameters set up in the legislation in force.

SOLID WASTE:

- Effective management of resources and inputs in the production chain;

- Reducing solid waste;

- Management and proper disposal of solid waste

- Proper destination of all solid waste, plastics, paper, cardboard,

styrofoam etc.
