A stretch of three coves on Koh Phangan, reachable only by boat or four-wheel truck. Bamboo bungalows, cold showers, jungle parties, a yoga community, healers and artists who had chosen a different rhythm entirely. Our founder returned to this bay year after year, until it became clear that a career in international private banking no longer fit the life she wanted.

The brand was born there in 2017. Its name, Gypsy Amazon, carries the years she'd spent moving before that — Sydney, Zurich, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Geneva, Rome — a life spent between places, until one of them finally asked her to stay.

It began with a sisterhood, and Brazilian textiles unlike anything available in Asia — luminous, light, resilient. By 2019, we moved from curating to creating: designed in-house, made in small batches.
